On November 16 – 18, 2017, ACCESS and its three national institutions – the Arab American National Museum (AANM), the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) and the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC) – will leverage the energy and engagement of Arab Americans in a summit to Mobilize, Organize, Vocalize and Empower (MOVE) the national community. At this unique gathering, stakeholders and allies will have an opportunity to connect and form relationships, dialogue with and learn from one another about the most pressing issues facing the community and develop a shared agenda for social change.
We invite you to submit a workshop session proposal. Our MOVE committee is interested in interactive presentations that showcase forward movement and a call to action at the community level. Sessions should include at least one of these themes: DIWAN (arts), activism, nonprofit development, philanthropy, and building youth leadership. Submissions are due April 30. We want to hear from you as we plan our event. Complete this survey or comment below to tell us what topics you’d like covered, what presentations and speakers you’d like to see, and what type of experience you are looking to have.
